Mar Azul is enviously located in Cala del Portichol, or Cala Barraca. Famous for its whitewashed fisherman houses and scenic views of Portichol island. The villa is a leisurely 8-minute downhill walk away from the pebbled beach and sparkling waters of the Med. Two private, road level, parking spaces are a God send in the busy Summer months. From the parking area, the villa is reached by stone clad steps that lead up and around the pretty terraced gardens. Divided into two independent floors, the top half of the property is on the same level as the swimming pool and BBQ area; a fabulous entertainment space complete with sunbeds, deckchairs, and an outdoor dining table, all surrounded by lush trees and Mediterranean flowering plants. There are also sea views from the pool area. Inside, two good size bedrooms, a large double bed and a twin room with two single beds, share a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower and a handy separate washroom. On the same floor, the kitchen looks out over a breakfast bar to the large lounge-diner; a relaxing space with high ceilings, lots of light and heaps of Mediterranean charm. The classic and spacious villa is located on the rocky beach of La Barraca in Javea, 2nd line of the beach, one of the best places to spend your holiday, surrounded by nature, hills, pine trees, and the sound of the sea. The Bay of Portixol is a recognized nature reserve and popular for divers. The beach of La Barraca consists mostly of medium-sized pebble stones, mixed with sand and rocks at the end. This beach is very popular for diving and water sports and for many years it was an insider tip. Today, the beach is well-known, also due to the famous beach bar Cala Clemence, where the sundown parties take place in summer. The nearest supermarket and other shopping possibilities are about 5 minutes far away by car. It is about 10 minutes' drive to the sandy beach of El Arenal, the harbour or to the old town.
