The sizeable garden slopes gently down to a large 8km beach, fairly empty for most of the year. The garden itself is of a "controlled wilderness" type; juniper bushes (a protected species) break the rhythm of the large lawn, and several palm trees will whisper to us from on high with their slender trunks swaying gracefully in the wind. Atlantic Spain? Atlantic Caribbean? It could be either, really. Waves break rhythmically on the sand below, the breeze almost always warm or hot, and what could certainly be said to be heaven. As we walk through the front door, we are already confronted with the sea view and the spacious open plan living room. It is a single storey building, like all beachfront properties in this area, so the ceilings are high, creating a pleasant airy ambience throughout. Carefully selected antiques combine with wicker sofas and sisal rugs to provide a simple but classic décor. Large glass doors open onto a covered terrace that runs the width of the building, the open-air dining area at one end and comfortable seating at the other. There are several sun loungers, to enjoy on the terrace or in the lower garden, as close to the beach as possible. Style and comfort less than 200m from the beach A major renovation in early 2024 has produced a fabulous open plan space for dining, cooking and comfortable living, including a large covered terrace overlooking the (fenced) swimming pool. With one of the best beaches on the Costa de la Luz less than 200m away, this is a perfect holiday home. Although Bahari is built on two floors, on the first floor you will find only the fourth bedroom (with bunk beds) and a roof terrace from where you can see the sea at the end of the street. Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor, which is divided between the bedroom wing on one side (two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom and the master suite with en-suite bathroom and dressing room) and the newly refurbished open-plan living room on the other side. It is an elegant Atlantic beach house, just a short walk (1km) or bike ride from one of the most spectacular stretches of sandy beach on the Costa de la Luz. Situated at the rear of the urbanisation of Roche, the location is quiet, yet less than 5 minutes by bike from the local minimarket (fresh bread), bar and children's playground.
