Also known as El Cañuelo beach, Los Álamos is the beach that sits furthest away from the centre of Torremolinos and, as such, is one of the quietest (people-wise) in the area.
It's 1 km in length and comprised of grey sand.
The beach is popular with local families who come from Malaga city and with groups of youngsters who come to enjoy all the amenities on offer.
You can rent deck chairs and parasols. There's also kitesurfing, ping pong tables, showers and toilets.
Playa de Playamar and all the shopping centres are just a short walk away.
The beach sits right on the border of Malaga city and Torremolinos, not far from the airport.
It is also on the flight path for numerous commercial flights. Be warned, it can and does get noisy!
The Los Álamos promenade runs the length of the beach and offers numerous bars, restaurants and chiriguitos.
It's also a popular spot at night.
For some of the best nightlife in the area be sure to check out Kokun, Maracas, Café del Sol and Chiringuito playa, the last two have their own beach clubs.
