The Sleeping Ute Microsuite is our newest suite at Mountain View Lodge. This apartment has a small bedroom (hence the name micro suite) with a queen bed. It also has a full bathroom and small kitchen (sink, stove, refrigerator). You can use the shared deck to enjoy the sunsets over Sleeping Ute Mountain (maybe while you are here this sleeping warrior will rise up to walk the earth again). It is very common to see deer walking through the yard or in the neighbor's fields. This suite can be the base for a couple or individual wanting to experience SW Colorado and Mesa Verde National Park. The apartment is only 15 minutes from the entrance to the park. Mountain View Lodge has three suites which provide 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, a kitchen, a sitting area, and a game room. We enjoy great sunset views of Sleeping Ute Mountain and Mesa Verde, abundant wildlife, and dark night skies. There is a large yard for games, a tire swing, and fire pit. Since posting this listing we have opened some additional spaces in the lodge to guests. So you may see other people coming and going around the property. The Lodge was built by Cecil and Brenda Dunn in the 80's. I was used as an assisted living facility and later a bed and breakfast. Sheets and towels provided. New large window mounted air conditioner. Evenings cool off after sunset. Has a bath tub but the water heater is only 20 gallons. It's a half mile gravel road access. Owner occasionally works and overnights in the adjacent building with a separate access road. There's a friendly outdoor cat....
